A note from Fred Brummer,

Thank you for your interest in my campaign for election to the Orange County Commission. It was a great honor and privilege to serve as your Commissioner for eight years and as State Representative.

Job creation is the highest priority for the families in our district. It is important that people be able to work where they live. My experience working with the Orlando Economic Partnership, the City of Apopka, the City of Ocoee, the West Orange and Apopka Chambers of Commerce and interested parties on attracting jobs to north and west Orange County will be a strong base for success in adding wage valuable jobs in our community.

The Pine Hills Neighborhood Improvement District is an example of my innovative approach for government to facilitate community redevelopment. The soon to be completed section of the Wekiva Parkway in Orange County gives us the opportunities for new jobs to be added in District 2. I am proud that I was the Florida House sponsor of the legislation that made the Wekiva Parkway happen.

I have made it a priority to deliver quality county services efficiently and effectively. I worked diligently representing homeowners in the fight against the implementation of costly Department of Health regulations on septic systems. Growth management, water quality and conservation and public transportation issues will continue to receive my full attention on the Orange County Commission.

I believe my experience as a Certified Public Accountant and firsthand knowledge of the State Legislature and County Commission provide me a strong foundation to serve the people of District 2 well. I believe together we can and will keep Orange County a great place to live and raise a family.
